Having struggled with learning disabilities and bullying through out his life, art has always been a place where Louis can excel. Louis loves to draw and especially loves to draw cars, whether from memory, from magazine pictures or from sitting and looking at a car in the parking lot. His sketchbook is full of pencil drawings of cars, trucks and low-riders. Louis is also extremely shy, especially in a room with more than a few people.
The more we work with Louis, pushing him out of his comfort zone, the more he opens up to other mediums, subject matter, styles and even people. When Louis first came to us he would not say a word, but as he continues with our program, his confidence grows and the artist emerges from his shell.
