Artist Reception – March 20 at 5:00 – 8:00pm
First Friday Reception – April 3 at 6:00 9:00pm

About the Show: Melanie Walker is an artist who draws inspiration for her work from light, shadow and memory related to her experience of living with limited sight. In her photos, Walker, who is blind in one eye, addresses the unique perspective that result from her double vision.
Artist Statement: I am interested in constructing spaces that conjure up memory and non specific narratives. My interest in installation art derives from a desire to create an all encompassing environment that surrounds the viewer and allows them to experience stories from their lives. Empty Spaces will allude to shadow plays, illusion, puppetry and memory.
