Urban Art Project
Working in an urban environment, in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver, Colorado we are surrounded by graffiti and street art. Many of our students embrace urban art and we have found that by exposing undeserved groups to graffiti and street art we are able to open a larger discussion about the place of art in people’s lives.
One of our most unique projects has been our Granny Does Graffiti Project where our artists work with people with Alzheimer’s and dementia to express themselves through a very immediate and innovative art form.

About Access Gallery
Access Gallery is an inclusive nonprofit organization that engages the community by opening doors to creative, educational, and economic opportunities for people with disabilities to access, experience and benefit from the arts. We are located in the heart of the Art District on Santa Fe, filled with multiple galleries, schools, museums, and artist studios. Our neighborhood is a continual reminder of the equalizing power of art, breaking down social barriers and becoming a place where young adults with disabilities feel welcome to create, question, and learn from each other.
