Bio
Jill Schladweiler (she/her) is the Director of Volunteer Engagement at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, where she focuses on creating meaningful experiences through community engagement and outreach. She began her career in tourism and recreation and has spent more than 20 years working with communities of all ages to build connection through service and leadership.
Jill has worked across roles in volunteer and guest services, with a focus on creating opportunities for underrepresented communities and removing barriers to participation. Her background also includes work as a Special Olympics coach and program director for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. Originally from out of state, Jill moved to Colorado in 2003 and has continued to build her career around community, access, and engagement.

Why Access Gallery?
I became involved with Access Gallery to support the work they are doing. I believe art and access to it are critically important and should be for everyone. Art is emotion and movement and magic, and all people should have access to that.
The mission of Access Gallery to open doors to creative, educational, and economic opportunities for people with disabilities resonated with me immediately. I am excited to support the organization as it continues to grow, with new spaces, new artists, new partnerships, and new opportunities, and to support the staff and artists who make it all possible.
