Bio
Joann Asakawa Huntz (she/her) is a Colorado native with over 10 years of experience in strategy, leadership, and administration across nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She is currently the Community Impact Coordinator at Rose Community Foundation, supporting grantmaking efforts. Previously, she served as Impact Manager at Meow Wolf Denver, leading community outreach, partnerships, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
She has also held roles at the Denver Art Museum and Art Students League of Denver, developing programs, exhibitions, and community engagement initiatives. Her background in running an arts program for adults with developmental disabilities continues to shape her commitment to accessibility and connection to the arts.

Why Access Gallery?
My first full-time job after graduating college was running an art program for adults with IDD, and it remains one of the most meaningful roles I’ve held. Access Gallery embodies everything I loved about that experience, and I want to continue supporting access to the arts for all.
I am excited to support Access Gallery as it continues its impressive growth. The artists are incredible, and it is inspiring to experience the joy they bring to making art and sharing it with the world.
